The Bentlands
title

The Bentlands is a converted manor house dating from the early 20th Century, built by the Jenks family of the famous Wolverhampton engineering firm Jenks & Cattell.

The Bentlands takes it name form the type of grass that grew wild on the fields before its was built, before it was converted to pub, it featured magnificent gardens, with large water features and tennis courts. It was sold to a development committee in the 1950's who weren't sure what to do with the main house, so they converted to a working men's club for their builders.

After this it was sold to Mitchell's & Butlers and became a regular pub with lots of small rooms. In the late 1980's the pub was extensively refurbished to its current guise of a two room operation with a large conservatory dining area overlooking the still beautiful gardens.

In 1993 Alan & Jackie took over the lease after the pub had been faltering badly for a couple of years and turned it round to one of the most successful pub & restaurant in the area, in fact with in three years winning a National award for Best Pub.

With a great selection of Ales, Lagers, Wines & soft drinks served by staff who care to compliment their now famous Tex-Mex inspired menu along with a great range of other meals and snacks makes The Bentlands a great place for a night out, quick lunch or afternoon's. Open all day every day for food and drink.
